Most of my friends have actually gone with the recaro brand simply because they are either car enthusiasts or they drive luxury cars which they need to complement with a an equally luxurious car seat. If you fit in either one of those categories, then by all means go with the recaro proride car seat, no need to read the rest of our review. From my experience, they normally would never change their mind and are wildly loyal to the recaro brand. I have an older car that doesn’t have the latch out of the seats. I could never get my car seat as tight as it needs to be. This car seat was made to work with older cars. It has latches on the side that prevents the seat belt from loosening. It is a big car seat for rear facing but I know it is built for safety. It also has the latch for newer cars. So when we buy a new car we can use the more updated belt.
Also this is my third car seat for my child who is still under 1 year old. Don’t waste money on the others. This is the best car seat by far.

After exhaustive research of every Convertible Car Seat on the market, I finally settled on the Recaro with a few reservations based on other reviews I’ve read. However, once I got the seat, read the directions and installed it in our vehicle, the reservations went out the window. My daughter LOVES this seat. The side head supports not only protect for side impacts, but also keep her head more upright while she sleeps in it!
